Mimic

Rocky the Raven is Mimic’s official mascot. You can see him perched atop our band’s logo and adorning the front of Darrin’s keyboard during live shows. If you have a quick eye, you can also see Rocky and his friends (did you know that a group of ravens is known as an unkindness, rave, or conspiracy?) at the beginning or end of some of our videos.

Why a raven?

Ravens are part of the corvid bird family, known for their ability to mimic over 100 sounds and vocalizations – just like the band mimics the soulful sounds of the greatest artists of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Ravens, like all corvids, are also known for their high intellect – and this is where the similarities end between our mascot and the guys in the band. 

Why is he named “Rocky”?

We named our mascot after the majestic mountains that overlook our hometown of Colorado Springs. He also earned his name defeating Apollo Creed, Ivan Drago, and Clubber Lang in personal combat. But those are stories for another time…..
